Dollar Tree Christmas 2021 did not disappoint! There are hundreds of Christmas decor and craft items all over the store. One of my favorite pieces in the Dollar Tree 2021 Christmas collection are the Christmas door hangers and tabletop figures. I took the Dollar Tree snowman figure and turned it into a modern rustic snowman decoration.
This primitive snowman uses the frame of the Dollar Tree snowman, yarn, and hot glue! You can make this quick 5 minute snowman craft to use as a snowman centerpiece, snowman ornament for the Christmas tree, or snowman Christmas decorations around the house.
How do you make a dollar tree snowman?
You will need to pick up a snowman wrapped in ribbon from Dollar Tree. This shiny little snowman will be turned it to a rustic snowman in 5 minutes!
First unwrap the ribbon from around the snowman. It comes off very easy! The starting piece is located near the bottom and you can unravel it then start unwrapping.
This is the frame underneath your snowman. I picked up a mop top from Dollar Tree and decided to use the strands as my yarn for the body of the snowman. I also cut off the Santa hat pom pom part of the wire frame. I want the snowman to have a traditional black top hat.
Now it’s time to start hot gluing the yarn around the snowman. Start at the bottom and wrap the snowman until you get to the bottom of the hat.
Use black yarn and start wrapping the hat.
Finally use ribbon to attach a scarf around the snowman’s neck. I chose to keep my snowman without a face. I love the primitive look of the snowman without all the traditional features. It’s a simple rustic snowman! You could use felt to add black eyes and an orange carrot nose. Add small tree twigs for arms and you have a cute little rustic snowman!
