Free Printable DIY Robot Valentine Cards

As an elementary teacher we used Valentine cards as a way for kids to practice their handwriting. Letting them write the names of each person in the class on the card and signing their card.

I also love this Valentine’s activity because it requires kids to think about their classmates. My boys try to pick cards that they think each student in their class will like. It’s a thoughtful and fun activity to pass out their cards at school! And who doesn’t love getting mail?!

How to Make Robot Valentine Cards Free Printables

These free printable Robot cards are so easy to make at home, even a kid could do it! All you need to do is download the Robot card PDF, print, and cut. Let the kids write the names of their classmates and sign their names to the card.

SUPPLIES:

  • White Cardstock
  • Color Printer
  • Scissors
  • Pen or Pencil

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1: Download the Robot Valentine Card PDF (free printables)

Click the purple link at the bottom of this page to print a copy of the Robot Valentine cards. These robot cards are free printables! I recommend that you download the PDF to your computer and then print for the best quality.

Step 2: Print Cards onto Card Stock Paper

Card stock paper is great for Valentine’s Day cards. I prefer printing on card stock because it is a sturdier paper and will work better for little hands passing out cards to their classmates!

I keep this card stock paper on hand at home.

The Robot Valentine card PDF has 4 designs with a total of 9 cards per page. You can print as many as you need!

Step 3: Cut Cards Apart

Use scissors or a paper cutter to cut the cards apart.

Kids can cut their own cards out or you can do it for them depending on how well they cut using scissors. My boys wanted to cut their cards apart so I let them! Their lines weren’t perfect, but I think it made the cards so special for them that they did the work.

Step 4: Sign the Cards

On each card there is space for the kids to sign their name and write the name of the person the card goes to. I know some teachers only want students to put who the card is from because it’s faster to pass out.

Check with your kid’s teacher to see if they have a preference and make sure to ask for a class list so no one is left out!

Step 5: Attach a Sweet Treat

Treats are always fun to receive on Valentine’s! You can add non-candy treats like pencils, erasers, or small toys. Or you can put a fun piece of candy attached to the card.

For these cards I recommend attaching the treat to the back of the card. Use regular tape or you can use washi tape to make it extra cute!

I always find really cute Valentine treats at the Target Dollar Spot, Dollar Tree, and Walmart.

Or you can grab some of these cute Robot themed treats to attach to Valentine’s cards and have them shipped directly to your house!
