Last year we passed out super fun Pop It Valentine’s for my son’s small preschool class. We added a cute pop it fidget toy to each card, since it was a small class I didn’t mind spending a little extra. This year his class has about 20 students, so I was looking for an inexpensive Valentine’s day idea that would still be so much fun for the kids.

Free Printable Valentine’s Day Tic Tac Toe Game

This adorable Tic Tac Toe Valentine free printable is perfect for kids to pass out to their friends or family members!

You will need Adobe Reader to open the PDF file. I recommend that you save the file to your computer and then print from your computer to get the best results. White cardstock is the best paper to print these Tic Tac Toe Valentine cards. I love using cardstock for gift tags and cards because it is a sturdier paper that doesn’t rip as easy in little hands.

How to Make Tic Tac Toe Valentines

I love a low prep DIY for Valentines day and these Tic Tac Toe game cards are a fun way to make your own Valentines cards.

SUPPLIES

• Paper Cutter or Scissors
• Tic Tac Toe Valentine’s Day printables
• Card Stock
• Plastic bags
• Valentine candies (M&Ms, Hershey Kisses, Tic Tacs, Sweet Tarts, or candy hearts
• cute baker’s string or Valentine’s ribbon

DIRECTIONS

Make sure you download the free printable Tic Tac Toe Valentines.

Cut the tic-tac-toe boards apart using a paper cutter or scissors. The tic tac toe board will be the Valentine cards. Kids can write their name on the back of the card.

Place a hole punch in the top center of the tic tac toe cards. You will use this to attach the game board to the clear plastic bag.

In the small plastic bag, add some sweet treats for the game pieces like candy hearts, Valentine M&M s, red and white tic tacs, sweet tarts, Fruit gummies or Valentine’s Hershey Kisses! Choose any of your favorite candies, but remember that you only need 2 different colors in the bag.

Use the cute string to tie the top of the bag closed and then add the tic tac toe board.

How to Play Valentine’s Tic Tac Toe

The first player will choose a color and place their candy game piece on a square on the game board. Then the second player will place their candy game piece on a square. A player wins when they get 3 candies in a row (vertical, horizontal, or diagonal).

And of course, the players eat their candy when they finish the game!
