How to Make Throw Pillows Out of Placemats

Dollar Tree Buffalo Plaid Materials

• Buffalo Plaid placemats from the Dollar Tree
• Poly-Fil or stuffing from an old pillow
• Seam Ripper
• Needle and Thread OR Hot Glue Gun

Step by Step DIY Dollar Tree Buffalo Plaid

First pick up 2 Dollar Tree Buffalo Plaid placemats in the Christmas section at Dollar Tree

Then use the seam ripper to make a 2-3 inch opening at the bottom of the placemat.

Use poly-fil to stuff the placemat until full. If you have old pillows you can cut them open and use the stuffing for your new pillow.

Now it’s time to close the opening. Use thread and needle to sew the 2-3 inch gap. For a NO SEW option use a hot glue gun to close the opening.

All finished! Fluff the pillow and put it on your favorite chair.
