Star Wars is a favorite for kids and adults! These free printable Star Wars Christmas Tree ornaments are easy to make for kids and anyone who loves Star Wars.
This year we put together a Star Wars Christmas tree for a program called Tiny Trees that donates a tiny 3 foot tree to oncology patients in Children’s Hospital. Students in my son’s second grade class put together these baby Yoda Christmas ornaments, Storm Trooper Christmas ornaments, Darth Vader Christmas ornaments, and Chewbacca Christmas ornaments.
You could also use these as a fun activity for a Star Wars themed party or DIY Star Wars party favor to hand out to guests. Either way these are really fun to make and look great!

DIY Star Wars Christmas Ornaments
These Star Wars Christmas ornaments are made with free printables that you can get at the bottom of this post! The goal of this DIY Christmas tree ornament was for kids to make these independently. We worked in small groups and used simple supplies like paint, glue, and scissors.
SUPPLIES:
- Star Wars Ornaments free printables
- 4 – 3 inch wood circles
- Acrylic paint (brown, black, white, and green)
- Paint brushes
- Glue
- Scissors
- Decorative twine
- Hot glue gun
DIRECTIONS:
1. Paint the back and edge of each of the 3″ wood circles brown, green, black, and white. Let dry!
2. Cut out Star Wars ornaments: Chewbacca, Baby Yoda, Storm Trooper, and Darth Vader.
3. Glue each Star Wars character to the opposite side of the painted wood circle. Match the color to the character. For the baby Yoda character glue the ears down first then the face. Let dry!
4. Attach the decorative twine using hot glue to the back of the ornament.
Follow each step to make all 4 Star Wars characters!
Tips for Printing Star Wars Christmas Ornament Printables
Print the Star Wars characters on card stock paper. A heavier paper is more durable for the DIY Star Wars ornaments and they will hold up longer!
I keep this card stock on hand at home for all my craft and party printing needs.
