Are you looking for a cheap preschool Mother’s Day craft for kids? This easy Dollar Tree Mother’s Day DIY is great for kids of all ages, and a simple way to personalize a Mother’s Day gift!

Mother’s Day Dollar Tree Craft Idea

This Dollar Tree craft is really simple and doesn’t even require an oven for treating the design! All you need is to head out to your local Dollar Tree and search for the plastic travel mugs in the kitchen section.

Dollar Tree Travel Mugs

There are currently 2 travel mugs at the Dollar Tree.

One is a small, child size travel mug. (I used this one in my pictures and video.) It holds about 8 oz. There are different colors available!

The other size is a larger size that holds about 17 oz. I only found this size in black.

You can pick which ever size you want and I’ve included templates for both the small travel mug and the large travel mug. Find the purple links at the bottom of this post!

Make sure to grab the travel mug that has a paper design that you can pull out.

TIP: If you need to purchase enough travel mugs for a class, save time and order through the Dollar Tree website!

Supplies:

• Dollar Tree Travel Mug (with paper insert)
• Crayons, Paint, Pencils, etc
• Scissors
• Travel Mug Design Free Printable

Directions:

1. Open the travel mug and remove the paper design inside the cup.
2. Choose a travel mug template design from below to use in the cup.
3. Cut out the template.
4. Decorate the template by coloring, painting, drawing, etc on the template.
5. Insert the finished template in the cup
6. Give to mom on Mother’s Day!
