Hot Chocolate Bar Ideas
There are so many fun ways to create your own hot chocolate bar! I love adding a hot chocolate bar to my holiday party. It’s a great way to for guests to have fun making a yummy warm drink.
We set up our own hot cocoa bar in the dining room along with some yummy sweet treats like chocolate covered pretzels, a Christmas tree fruit tray, and my favorite easy treat Little Debbie Christmas Trees on popsicle sticks.

Ways to Make Hot Chocolate
Use hot milk or hot water to mix with your hot cocoa powder or hot cocoa bombs.
You could also use a slow cooker to heat up a gallon of chocolate milk. This is a great idea for hosting a big crowd. I’ve used a slow cooker to keep a big batch of hot chocolate warm when throwing a holiday party for son’s class. We combined 2 classes and there were a total of 50 kids.
For our home holiday party we used coffee mugs, but when hosting a bigger crowd at the school holiday party we used paper cups.
Hot Cocoa Toppings
Different toppings are the reason hot chocolate stations are so much fun at holiday parties! I used Dollar Tree candy jars to hold the toppings for our hot chocolate bar station. You could also use mason jars or decorative bowls to hold all the toppings.
Provide as many different options for toppings as you want to prepare. I kept things simple with 5 jars of fun toppings along with whipped cream and caramel sauce.

For each fun topping, I attached a free printable tag with the name of the toppings on the label. Then I placed the jars on a tiered tray that I made by putting a piece of wood on top of 2 black baskets.
