Valentine’s Day is just what we need to brighten up the cold weather woes of winter! Use this indoor free printable scavenger hunt game for kids that is easy to set up and great to play as a family, with friends, or for a classroom party.
I love these little scavenger hunt games because they are so easy to pull together. Just print, cut, and hide!
My kids had so much fun playing the Christmas Scavenger Hunt game that we ended up using it for a Christmas class party and then I made a New Year’s Scavenger Hunt for Kids and a Winter Scavenger Hunt for kids.
These little scavenger hunt games are fun because you can use them over and over again! Just hide the cards in different places and kids can play a new game!

How to Organize a Scavenger Hunt
This Valentine’s Scavenger hunt game is super easy to organize. All you will need to do is print the Valentine picture clues in color. It’s best to print in color because it is easier for the kids to find the images.
Then print Valentine Scavenger Hunt tracking cards for each person that plays. I tried putting kids on a team to work together, but they loved having their own card.
Next you will hide the Scavenger hunt images around your house or classroom. Stick them in the window, on doors, in picture frames, or on the decor.
Make sure the kids are not able to see where you are hiding the pictures. It’s only fair if everyone sees the room at the same time!
Try hiding the pictures high and low. Sometimes the pictures were hidden out in the open and my kids totally missed them because they didn’t look up.
TIP: Write down where you put the pictures, so you don’t forget where you hid the cards. I made the mistake of hiding our Christmas scavenger hunt pictures and no one could find the last picture until the next day! Learn from my mistake!
Now the scavenger game is all set up!

Scavenger Hunt Prize Ideas
There are 2 ways you could include prizes with this scavenger hunt game!
One way to include prizes along the way is by marking a *star* on each tracking sheet beside the pictures with a prize. That way the kids know when they find that picture they should be looking for a prize. This would be a great way to include a few prizes through out the game.
You could include just one prize with the picture, so the first person to find that picture gets the prize. Or a prize for each player can be placed at the prize picture.
The second way to include a prize is by giving a prize when each kid finds all the pictures. You could make it a competition and have one winner, or everybody can win and those that finish first can help the kids who are still hunting.
Valentine’s Scavenger Hunt Prize Ideas
Of course there are some cute little prizes you can include for your kids to show them how much you love them!
These are a few of my favorite Valentine’s prizes for kids to hide along the way!

- Valentine’s Kinder Joy Eggs

- Sweet treats like cupcakes, cookies, or a favorite dessert
- A small gift of something the kids are into. My boys love football, airplanes, and Halo. It would be easy to grab football cards, a small paper airplane, and a Halo army guy!
