These St. Patrick’s Day printable banners are designed in two styles: a Lucky Banner printable and a mini pennant banner. These printable banners are super easy to make! All you need to do is print, cut, and hang!

I styled my Lucky banner with the mini pennant banner and I added this adorable felt Shamrock banner

For the Shamrock Felt Banner we used these Shamrock templates to make simple felt shamrocks. You can read the full tutorial here!

Another option is to use these green shamrock printables. Print as many as you want to use in your St. Patrick’s Day banner.

St. Patrick’s Day Banner Free Printables

Below you will find the free printables for 2 different St. Patrick Day printables. Click on the purple link below the image to download the St. Patrick’s Day banner.

Each banner is saved as a PDF file, so you will need Adobe Reader to open the digital download.

Once you open the file, save the file to your computer, then print!

These printable files are for personal use only. You may print as many as you need, but please do not resale these free printable banners.

I recommend that you print your Lucky Banner and the St. Patrick’s Day pennant banner on white cardstock. Cardstock paper is durable and looks great when you hang it up!

How to Make a DIY St. Patrick’s Day Banner with Free Printables

These St. Patrick Day banners are really easy to make! I love creating holiday themed decorations, but we don’t always have time so the easier the better. All you need is the free printables banners, scissors, and some ribbon or decorative string.

SUPPLIES

  • St. Patrick’s Day Printable Banner
  • Lucky Banner Free Printable
  • Green Shamrock Templates
  • Decorative String or Twine
  • Scissors
  • Paper Cutter (Optional)
  • Double Sided Tape
  • Mini Clothes Pins (Optional)

DIRECTIONS

First make sure you have all your printables printed. You can either print at home or send them to a local print shop. I recommend printing on white cardstock for the appearance of the St. Patrick’s Day banners.

SIDE NOTE: I use my paper cutter for all my straight edge cuts. I am terrible at cutting with scissors, so this helps me create nice straight lines and it is much faster! It also saves my hands if I’m cutting out a lot of pieces. You can totally do all of these cuts with regular scissors if you don’t have a paper cutter.

Next cut out the Lucky Printable Banner. You can choose to only use the Lucky letters in this banner or you may decided to add the Gnome cards to your banner.

Now cut out the St. Patrick’s Day Pennant banner pieces. There are 6 pieces total.

You will need your scissors for the next part…take one of the pennant banner pieces and fold the bottom of the banner. Bottom left to bottom right. Use your scissors to cut a 45 degree angle.

Now use this pennant as the template for the other pieces, so that you have the same cut at the bottom of each piece.

When I hang my banner I usually hang my string up first where I want to hang the banners. Then I attach each piece onto the string. For me, this is the easiest way to make sure the banner is centered.

There are a few ways to attach the banners. You can use double sided tape or regular tape, mini clothes pins, or hole punch.

For the St. Patrick’s Day banner I used double sided tape to create a pocket at the top of the pennant. Simply fold the top over approximately 1-2 inches and then secure with the double sided tape. Now the decorative string/rope can slide through the pocket.

Finally you can either use the Shamrock Felt Banner tutorial or print the green Shamrock templates to add a third festive banner to your St. Patrick’s Day decorations!
